Hello Everyone. I appreciate you visiting the site and reading my blog; it’s good to see those pretty eyes again.
Let me start by saying this week has to be on speed because how is it Friday already? It’s not like I’m not excited at how fast the week went; it’s more like I’m surprised. If I’m being honest, I think the week went by so quickly because I didn’t go to work this week. I worked from home on Monday, went to work on Tuesday, and then spent the rest of my week sorting out personal matters and taking time off for myself. I feel that played a role in why I thought the week flew by so fast. Also, with the upcoming gubernatorial elections, I would have another extra holiday coming up, plus I heard there was going to be a census, making for a holiday-filled March. I can’t wait, but let me not dream on it so much before the Nigerian government or my boss would kill my dreams of being in bed.
Speaking on my job, I try so hard to hold myself back from ranting about my boss or talking about my job on my blog because I don’t know if my boss reads the blog or if, by chance, she sees the blog. I am just trying to be careful because if I share my mind and she reads it, I might just lose my job.
But just to speak on it briefly, I am actually tired of my job now. Initially, when I started, I loved my job and had a passion for it. I was always willing to make changes and implement new policies. But recently I’ve been overworked and overused. I currently do two job roles, but I’m only being paid for one job role; recently, I even brought it up to her, and I got a terrible response talking about how she is owing the accounting company and how I am being paid based on the experience I have. So that response really demoralized me, and I basically lost interest in the job. So I’m currently looking for a new job where I would be appreciated for what I’m bringing and also valued for my skills.
I’m very proud of myself for rolling out posts each week; it just means I’m being very consistent with myself and things that are important to me. I almost missed putting out a post today, but I fought back my spirit of procrastination and here we are!
