Downs and Ups

Hello Everyone. I appreciate you visiting the site and reading my blog; it’s good to see those pretty eyes again.

And it’s yet another Friday. It feels like it was just yesterday that I wrote the last one. Look at me now, Cheenaa: The one who would struggle to make a post each month is now the one who is rolling out posts like it’s nothing. This just comes to say there is nothing you can’t do if you put your mind to it, and that’s what I believe and always tell myself whenever I face something difficult. How have you all been? Any interesting details to share?

Getting the ginger to write a blog post is not so easy. Yeah, I have been writing each week because I made a commitment to myself, but looking at the views of my recent posts, it’s really low, and it gets to me most times and demoralizes me because I thought writing more posts would at least help me balance out my views a bit, but I guess I thought wrong. Whenever I post a blog, I have to refresh the page constantly till I see views before I can now calm down, lol. I know you might think it’s weird, but I just want to know some eyes are at least here with me. My most excitement comes from when I get a “like” on a post. That can make me grin at myself for hours; most times I even go back to the post and read over it and begin to wonder what I said and why this person liked the post.

My motivation for this week’s post goes out to my dear friend Oshoma. He came out of nowhere in the early morning hours of Wednesday and gave me lovely words of encouragement that made me smile. It was just what I needed to hear at that time when I started to feel like maybe I should not do a post this week. It was good to know someone could relate to my posts and enjoy reading them. So I used this ginger to start writing and said to myself, “I may not have the views I imagined in my head, but I am forever thankful for the eyes that read my posts and enjoy them.”

Life always has ups and downs; sometimes you’re up, sometimes you’re down, and sometimes you’re afloat; just focus on the goal and don’t lose sight of it. I also have exciting news: I have gotten my music rhythm back. So I don’t know if this feature has always been on Apple Music or maybe I’m just noticing it now, so when you stream one song and it belongs to the afro beat genre if you set your music player to shuffle and click an infinity button at the right side, it automatically plays similar music in the same genre. This made me so happy because I found so many new songs I connected with; it had to be my favorite feature for Apple Music ever since I found it out.

And with that we have gotten to the end of another post, this week was basically just like the title of the this blog post downs and ups I had down times and I had up times as well, but guess what? The sleep I would indulge my body in this weekend would make up for all the stress of the week. I love to sleep, that’s what I do most of my weekends just sleep and catch up on my tv shows.
