Hello Everyone. I appreciate you visiting the site and reading my blog; it’s good to see those pretty eyes again.
Finally, it’s Friday, and no, I’m not excited because it’s going to be the weekend. I’m excited because the month is finally over and pay day is here! From the beginning of this week until the point at which I am writing this blog, I have been anticipating that April 1st would come. I have never anticipated the coming of a weekend like I am anticipating this one; actually, that’s a lie; I have. So let the countdown until April 1st begin! To all my 9-5 members, happy pay day!
How was your week? Mine was like a hill; it was up and then it was down, very blank, but I’m glad it’s almost done, and I will soon lay in bed with no worries until it’s a new week again. I was really stressed out this week, both mentally and physically, but at work, I have finally gotten a grip on the few essential things that need to be done. The list of things to do just keeps getting longer, but I am sure I will get through it. When I am this stressed, I always make a conscious decision in my head to remind my children that adulthood is not easy at all and they should enjoy being children for as long as they can because it’s never the same anymore. On the bright side, I am very thankful and proud of where I am today, especially when I look at where I started and where I am coming from.
As usual, my weekend plans include lots of sleep, though I doubt I’ll be able to get as much as I want because my aunt’s wake is on Saturday and there will be preparations to do. Yes, I lost my aunt, my mom’s older sister, who basically raised my mom and brought her to Lagos; may her soul rest in peace. So my sleeping plans might just be dreams I’m having in my head, but I really hope I can make them a reality.
Last post of the month, round of applause. Cheenaa, you all, with your pretty eyes, just witnessed how determination works. It was right here with you all that I said I would do a post a week every Friday, and I started doing that. My views have not been amazing, but am I stopping? No! I kept going and writing more posts. Congratulations, Cheenaa, you did it! Cheers to many more posts! Looking at my smile right now as I write this last paragraph, I can confidently say I am standing at the top of my hill now, looking down at all the sh*t that took me down the hill this week. I’m happy with how I’m ending my week, and I hope you all had a good week and an even better weekend.
Thank you all once again for clicking the link and reading my blog. I really appreciate it, and it means a lot to me.
